What to bring
- Valid identificationPassport, Maldivian national ID card or work permit — the original, not a photo.
- Your recipient's detailsFull name as on their ID, phone number, and bank or wallet details if paying into an account.
- For larger amountsWe may ask where the money comes from, such as a payslip or business invoice. Money transfer services are required to check this.
Send safely
Protect yourself from scams
- VeraFinance will never ask for your PIN, password or a one-time code — by phone, message or email.
- Only send money to people you know. Be wary of anyone who asks you to pay a fee to release a prize, a job or a loan.
- Check the recipient's name and number carefully — a transfer that has been paid out cannot always be recalled.
- Keep your receipt and reference number until your recipient confirms the money has arrived.
